Northland AFC & Assisted Living is a Michigan state-licensed, private, small family home. We know how challenging it is to place a loved one, so we passionately strive to give your loved one the best care possible.
Here at Northland AFC, we are here to help you and your loved one make that a smooth and easy transition. You and your loved one are welcome into our family as one of our own. Because we are a small private independently ran home, we can offer lower rates and still provide the best private one on one personalized care.

Northland AFC has many advantages over a big scale nursing facility. Being a small home, we will only take six clients on. Because of that, we will be able to give great care to your loved ones, and their needs won’t go unnoticed. Bigger homes and facilities are so big and busy with lots going on; some clients do not do well or flourish in that type of environment.
We’re the next best thing to keeping your loved one at home because it is a small family home in a rural setting. Deer, turkey, rabbits, and birds are all viewed from the windows. Our clients flourish here with the personalized private care and hot home-cooked meals, fresh farm eggs, and meat bought from a local farmer.
Our rooms have the option of Satellite TV and WiFi.

Seeing our residents faces light up when they are reminiscing makes you feel lucky to be in the company of such beautiful people.
We have two living rooms where you can turn on the cozy fireplace and watch TV, read, or visit with family or friends.
Fully furnished private or semi-private rooms available. If you or your loved one were more comfortable with their personal belongings instead, that would be fine as well.
Television in the bedroom is available upon request.

We offer 24/7 assistance. We provide skilled care, stand by assistance care, and are readily available for the independent individuals in case we are needed.
No Unnecessary Fees
We'll never charge extra for showers, meals, cleaning, laundry, and medication dispensing. It’s about the excellent quality care and no hidden fees!

I have worked at a few large scale nursing facilities in the past. Caregivers are so busy with many clients to care for at once that the clients are not getting the proper care they deserve. When they don’t get the care and attention they need, clients may not eat or drink well, get bedsores and lose weight, all leading to a decline in overall well being.
It’s easy for important information and care to get neglected in extensive nursing facilities. Meals, feeding, sores, and how much your loved one is eating or drinking won’t be missed or overlooked. Because we are family owned and ran and we will make those details and your loved one our number one priority here at Northland AFC.
